Illustration for your inspiration

by Roza Sinaysky | 14.09.12

It’s not every day that I sigh when I see someone’s work but today is one of those days. I came across Shira Barzilay’s work several times mainly when it popped up on my face book wall. This afternoon I finally took the time to look at it all on her Tumblr. Even though Shira completed a fashion design program at Shenkar she knew that illustration is where her heart lays. Now her marvelous creations decorate international ad campaigns, editorials, TV projects and blogs.

Tel Aviv’s fashion crowd as Shira’s inspiration for this greeting.

Her wonderful characters, some are girl friends and some imaginary.

Fashion is Shira’s main inspiration, from street to catwalk, she paints it all.

Shira’s friends say that they see a part of her in every character she illustrates.

Even Vogue started with illustrations on the cover…

“When I see a stylish girl walking on the street I often image her as a painting”.

Check out more of Shira’s work here and her fun blog on X- Net here.
