Denise and the gang
My friend Denise Boden, a young free spirited German photographer, happened to visit Tel Aviv a couple of weeks ago and decided to give the city a taste of her analog snaps. Denise got together with a few Tel Avivian designers and a local upcoming model, Mor, to feature in her own little holiday diary. The result was this beautiful collage.

How i wore it – Dsquared2
Say what you will but Dsquared2 is one of my favourite brands out there. I make this statement not only because their clothes fit me like a glove (and that’s a rare bread of clothes) but also because I admire the way these guys really stick to what they believe in. The canadian twins (Dean and Dan) often embody a spirit of a decade or certain style and put together some of the strongest collections of each season. This time the show was an homage to the glory days of the early 90′s, inspired by the super models of the decade with a little touch of the Chanel spirit (see chains and quilted bags). This is how I wore it.
My version on the S/S 13 Dsquared collection. Told you, fits like a glove.
Upbeat, sexy and classic. Dsquared S/S 13
Dsquared S/S 13 Available at Helga Design.
Life’s a beach (or maybe a pool?)
During the winter, we all fantasize about that magical sun kissed sensation on our skin and the thought of exposing our bodies, after the long chilly season, excites us. We crave for that moment when we let loose, forget our troubles and dip our toes in cool water. Ahhh, yes, that first time of the season… Gottex understands that every girl knows that this first time on the beach (or in the pool), after the winter hibernation, is a matter of serious preparations. Getting your body bikini ready and buying the right swimsuit is a subject most women don’t take very lightly. The Israeli based swimsuit brand realised how important it is for women to look and feel glamorous poolside, so they created a wide range of swimsuits, for all shapes and ages, to fit every lady’s need. From classical shapes to trendy scuba prints, here are some of the options you can go for this summer.
The wait is over, get your bikini out.
If you want to stand out this season, go for a graphic printed beachwear.
Why settle for just a bikini? Go for the whole look with a beautifully matched chiffon beach dress.
How about going paisley this season? Gottex available worldwide.

pq – for individual four eyes
Ron Arad is one of Israel’s most creative and innovative exports. The designer has made his mark in the design world and now he’s taking the optical world by storm with his eyewear collection; pq. This is the brand’s second year running and the glasses are selling like hot buns in over 15 countries including most european countries, Hong Kong, Japan and of course Israel. These glasses are no different to Arad’s designs, the key here is the use of technology, immaculate attention to detail and originality. pq has just launched a 3D collection and here some snaps from the campaign shot in London by Rankin.
The manly version of the 3D “A frame”.
Did I mention individuality?
The “A frame” is adjustable and can be easily personalised to fit the shape of every face.
Ron’s desire as a designer is to push boundaries and create something new and original, like these glasses.
Each pair of glasses is named after a tube station in London, a fact that makes me slightly nostalgic.
More pq details and stockist here.
dress code
This week has been so hectic that I could’t even find a moment to write this post, up until now. I had some great comments on the previous event I posted here so I thought I will keep you fashion savvy readers in the know about this one. The DRESS CODE fair will take place this weekend and will gather over 50 Israeli designers (established and up and coming) who will be selling their S/S 13 collections. I believe this will be a great kick start to your weekend, a fun shopping experience and a great perspective on Israeli fashion. Here are some of the looks you will find at DRESS CODE.
DRESS CODE will be held at the Meirhoff Gallery on 8 Dubnov Street, Tel Aviv.
